[The more universal terms do help. She scoffs, waving it off now that she has the context.] One would think it is obvious: t'is but human nature to fear what they do not understand. Magic, spirits, death itself. If nothing else t'would seem more a cautionary tale to prevent others from doing as the tale itself warns. And a very convenient scapegoat for primal fear. As though a small flame would be enough to prevent such nonsense.

Though to put it plainly: Ferelden is a country, having recently regained its independence from the Orlesian empire. Though I suspect that name is unfamiliar as well. Different worlds and such.
