To a certain degree! It isn't all of the mermen -- some of them are entirely fixated on wreaking havoc and attacking any mermaids in their path. But some are going to be distracted by the sheer magnitude of wealth in Wahine, and will be looting as they go. The mermen won't attack those who align themselves with Kea (openly, by stating so), either -- they seem to be pretty focused on the mermaids, and Wahine, rather than members of the Circle, unless the members of the Circle lash out first.
