spaceforged: (Black Lion: See through my eyes)

So, dreamscapes.

Shiro’s dreamscape is going to be a mix of memories as if someone is trying to make several puzzles into one singular whole. One memory might blend into the next and perspectives will shift. You might start out flying as a robotic lion and transition into riding a floating bike through the desert. Or one might be at the controls of a spaceship and end up falling through space in the next instance. These are some examples of how fluid and disjointed the memories will be. There will be a pattern to the shifts!

The owner of the memories will be buried deep in the dreamscape and attempting to escape it. He'll be aware it isn't real. How he appears to the person caught in the dreamscape will be varied. He might appear as himself but he might appear as the Black Lion he takes the shape of. Sometimes small as a truck the size most people know, and the size of the actual Lion.

It will be a journey! I'll keep anything super heavy out of threads unless we discuss it and you give the go ahead. Here's the breakdown of what kinds of memories will be available.

Spellbind - It's a collage of memories about his time with the Coven. Ever wonder why some of the older veterans used to mention another witch? Here is the answer. Two world hops, a different hub. And a chance to experience what it's like to a robotic flying beast for the first time. A few faces might be familiar.

The Garrison - - Shiro was stationed and trained at a facility that trains its soldiers and new explorers of space, called the Galaxy Garrison. He has fond and not so fond memories of this place. The most notable is meeting Keith and the aftermath of escaping the Garrison (he was unconscious for this but, he ties the aftermath to the Garrison).

Captivity - (Content warning: mutilation, human experimentation, murder, PTSD.) as stated, I lock this to being plotted out in advance (here or in private messages). Shiro was captured and forced to be an arena gladiator in fights to the death. He was selected because he was damn good at it to be experimented on and turned into a weapon.

He escaped with the help of a rebel named Ulaz. Memories in this category are in pieces and never complete they're snapshots and fragments.

Paladin of Voltron - A mixed bag of good and bad memories. If you want your character to experience what it's like flying a mecha or see what kind of universe Shiro came from this set of memories has the most complete look at his universe. The memories here flow from one to the other as easily as you might turn a page in a book. (covers seasons 1 and 2)

Project Kuron - (content warning: clones, experimentation, ptsd, mind-control) It's not apparent at first that these memories are different from his memories of being a Paladin. There is a darkness here in the edges of the memories and a sense of heaviness as if someone else is guiding the strings. The shadows are longer and the former unity of the previous memories slowly frays at the seams until it all breaks down. (Covers seasons 3-6)

Within the void - Seems a little weirdly like the void you just left, isn't it? The memories here make it difficult to know the passage of time and are the easiest to reach Shiro within. After all, what else is there to do in a timeless expanse of stars that stretches on for forever?

Acata - Ever wondered Shiro's perspective on events in the game? Wanted to just fly as a giant metal Lion? These memories are the most vibrant and are full of life. Another place Shiro can be reached easily, he's seeking other circle members and these memories resonate with that desire. One can see how they look through Shiro's eyes or meet him for the first time within what looks exactly like the Temple Realm. Yet there are subtle details that clearly clue in the realm is just a memory.
