What's weird about the kitchen is that this seems to be the only area of the ship that you can see thusfar that has full functionality to electricity. However, you don't find any additional food other than what is already here -- minimal at best. The food storage (if there is any) must be somewhere else.

Additionally, looking around the kitchen, you will be able to see that this ship has to be huge -- with space to feed and house roughly 500-600 people. That being said, this place seems ridiculously empty for being so huge. Something must have happened to these people, but you don't quite know what.

Konoha's food summoning powers will come into definite usage, until they figure out if there's any more food, though. She will definitely help offset the problem of food, at least a little bit, for the time being.
