I'm not sure where I want to put Mettaton at this time. I ended up placing Mettaton on the Bridge, where he's plenty available for bothering during his periodic breaks from decoding messages. Finally, he'll be losing it a little after all this time putting up a convincing facade of control. Beautiful.
MTT's not normally easy to crack even under pressure, but under the right circumstances (especially right now) it's very possible. He'll be easier to provoke like this and I would be more than down for things to get physical if your character's also on edge. I'm eager to play out the psychological effects of the Horologium and if you'd like for him to engage with your character's vivid hallucinations or the like, let me know! He might make it worse, or he might try to help (and still possibly make it worse). This is also a great opportunity to get him to give into the effects of the ship since in dealing with other people, Mettaton's most likely to act out himself. Injuring him/damaging him is totally okay by me, but talk to me about the possibility of outright killing him. It's surprisingly easy to do, and I'd probably be down. Otherwise, MTT's a total wildcard and would be likely to do extreme things.
