She would be able to figure out that there would be certain aspects of the ship definitely present (aka there has to be an engine room, a bridge, a door out, etc.) However, that's not to say that all of the things Sheryl would assume to be on a spaceship will be on the floor she's been given access to explore.

They woke up on one level, and the exploration into the rest of the ship opens them up to another level, but they still don't have a way to get to any of the other levels in between (and there are many). Yet, at least.
