Hello all Circle Members! We hope you're enjoying your stay so far in our first world! As the calendar states, the next world-event ooc plotting post will be up on May 29th, in just about 8 days! We hope everyone has had a good time getting immersed in the world, and please feel free to keep doing so! El Minha is yours to explore! If you have any ideas or questions, please don't hesitate to come to the mods or ask us at the thread on the original OOC post! We are still answering questions there and are happy to work with any ideas anyone might want to play with. And if you haven't felt super into the world, that's okay! This post is here to help you give ideas on how you can get involved. Some options may also give you some cool plot info you can play with if you'd like! We'll have comments below for each option, so if you would like to sign up for some of the plot options, please comment in the appropriate thread below. We will PM you with the info, and you are free to do whatever you'd like with that information. You do not need to play any of it out if you don't want to, either. It's entirely up to you and how you'd like to play with this information! 1. ) A Merchant is looking for help with their shop! This can include: running goods from one side of the city to another, standing in at the stand, helping unload and reload goods in the morning and evening. You may even get a cut of the profits! 2. ) If you have spent enough time around Syndicate Territory and have proven that you aren't looking for trouble, there's a good chance the Syndicate might ask you to do a few errands of their own. Have you ever wanted to be a mule for illegal goods? No? Well too bad. 3. ) The Crown Guard could always use some extra help! Polishing their armor, that is. But hey, they're not going to turn down any help, and you might get a favor or two out of it. 4. ) Have you made a lot of money at the casino? Or possibly lost just as much? Are you just hovering around because there's nothing else better to do? You never know what you might accidentally end up seeing in places like those. 5. ) Are you the type to find something to entertain yourself in the corner of a tavern? Maybe for days on end? Do you like to people watch and eavesdrop? 6. ) Have you been taking part in the fights at the Fight Ring? Or maybe you've just sat up in the corner and watched, waiting for The Champion to arrive? Hoping that one of these days they'll enter the fight themselves? 7. ) If you have any other ideas, or things your character has been doing, and think it might provoke some cool background info, let us know! Shiro has been taking parts in the fighting arena since after the first day. Between bouts he keeps honing his skills with a sword and hand to hand or watches the fights to study who he might be going up against. Aside from looking for the champion to talk to them, what would he pick up?

Hello! Rion is still doing her singing/performing things in different areas while trying to establish herself as a friendly face, but also is all for people-watching, so has probably chilled safely in the corner of a tavern. (She and Kou have also been trying to eavesdrop in the casino too, but I felt like I shouldn't throw in three comments haphazardly!)

Eliza has been spending the majority of her free time at the casino, including some late hours because hey it's cooler out and what's a real sleep schedule? She hangs out around the lizard races, either participating in the little ones with her new lizard Arthur, or observing the big ones. She talks to a lot of jockeys, trying to study the big lizards. Is working on learning to ride a big lizard, but she's not up to racing yet. Soooo much time at the casino.

Akira has absolutely spent the majority of his time in Syndicate territory, and may have made a name for himself as a Robin Hood pickpocket for the orphans in the Grand Market, if they're paying attention. At any rate! Depending on the nature of the illegal goods he'd be pretty "okay sure" about helping OR he'd be super resistant, but either way, I'd be super down for him getting involved here!

There's not a ton of them out and none are up for very long, but Eliza has been practicing some with her Extra Eyes. Sometimes a couple on her route to/from the casino, maybe a few watching the inn.

Geir would be eavesdropping as well, but specifically around the Palace and near guard posts! Just hanging out on roofs and seeing what there is to hear.

Vern has been lingering in multiple parts of town to get the gossip, including taverns and eating places in Syndicate-controlled areas, the casino, and the marketplace. He's checked the fighting ring and the palace grounds as well, but much more rarely.

Of note, if he hears anything particularly interesting, he'll actually briefly activate the mindread portion of his power to get an idea of what the speakers are feeling/thinking along with what they're saying. He won't keep that ability on all the time, though; he's trying to use it as just a supplement to information gathering so it's not too overwhelming.

I'm required by jrpg law to sign Kou up for the most ridiculous busywork and probably pointless sidequests. He likes spending time in the marketplace anyway, so he will absolutely respond to any and every call for help that they might make, no matter...how ridiculous...

Akmazian is an awful butthead black market smuggler back in canon and would definitely get back up to the same sort of stuff here if he could. c:

Daylight has been taking part in the fight ring the moment he learned about it! He's made it obvious he would love to meet the Champion and sticks around after his fights to cheer other participants on. Honestly? He's just getting by his matches through his size and surprise strength alone but he does have some moves in him to show he is taking these matches seriously.

Daylight would be more than happy to help out with their shop and wouldn't even ask for any money in return. He'd just ask them for any cool stories they have about the city since Daylight is fascinated by this place or just some food and water since he needs to eat now for nourishment. :> Pickpockets and attempted grab-and-runs are no worries when you have this giant carrying the goods or giving a hand in the loading/unloading of wares.

Jing has been doing some incidental errands in the market; she's not quite as spry as some of the younger members of the circle, but she's very good at selling things. She won't be here every day, but often enough that she becomes a somewhat familiar face at certain stalls. She's very good at keeping her eyes and ears open and her mouth shut and fading into the background.

Her son and her adopted family are both very much in the military, so she'll spend some time in this area just out of curiosity about how the structure differs from at home, and because she's an expert at filtering through the types of rumor that drift down from the upper echelons to the general rank-and-file. She can provide some medical assistance for minor maladies and ailments - things that soldiers might prefer not to go to the official doctors for - if she happens to run into them or be brought them as requests.

He has visited various parts of the city (for example, the market, the casino). To observe a new situation is something he's used to since he knows how valuable informations are.
It's easy for him to start conversations with strangers, so there is a possiblity of slighty questioning someone who has said something interesting.

dave's been kinda recklessly nudging a crazy number of jugs of water toward anybody and everybody who looks like they need it, so if that is something that would catch either side's attention, that is what he's been up to!

he probably also would be listening for anything interesting from any corner of the city as he does this

Sam's been spending a fair amount of time at the casino with the usual hustle, mostly at card games, but trying to keep a relatively low profile. He just needs money to finance his typical shenanigans. This might also encompass some flirting with the cute girls bringing him drinks. (He's just trying to subtly glean some information from them okay)

Dean's probably right around Sam's area, doing the same thing. OLD HABITS DIE HARD, ok? He definitely flirted with the locals and maybe just maybe took that a little too far? His casino and gambling aptitudes are ridiculous and he may cause trouble when it comes to sharking other natives. He's just too good at it.

Everything else is low-profile, and info sweeping, he might definitely have spent a little too long enjoying artifacts that were sharp and pointy but otherwise under the radar.

When not at the casino Dean can be found at the tavern or any place else that serves good food alongside alcohol.

Perhaps a tavern isn't the most proper place for a lady but Elizabeth is the curious sort anyhow. She's love to learn what this town is all about through a bit of eavesdropping.
