["slapped together using a video game's bizarre crafting mechanics" is probably more accurate than "forged," yeah.]
It'll freeze anything you cut, too. Definitely best used as a way to end a fight you don't really feel like having.
[so, ultimately, it's about as useful as it is silly looking.]
