I signed Shiro up for the tunnel exploring so I'll comment here with what he can do. In the bigger tunnels Shiro could light the way with his Lion form eyes. He was smart enough since getting here to get supplies with what he's earning at the races.

He'll have some form of a light for smaller tunnels.
