[Connor’s excitement at seeing Hank has already subsided into something more serious, something more uncertain. These are strange reactions, strange circumstances in which Hank has arrived. Even the stains on the man’s shirt are the same as the day he crashed through the Lieutenant’s window, into the kitchen, to check on him. (Only days ago from his own last recollection, really, but a little more than a month and a half in this place.) His fingers flex in his lap, his LED circling quickly, and he rattles off a distracted explanation.]
