We hope you have been enjoying your time on the Horologium. We are aware that many of you are still playing out threads, and this is by no means meant to make you feel rushed. Enjoy your body horror and psychological torture, please. :)
However, upon meeting the monster and losing Members at its claws, some Circle Members may be looking for ways to respond. IC, this event lasts from March 18th to March 24th -- when surviving members of the hunt rejoin with members on the Bridge. For those looking ahead, we want to give space for players to start deciding how to react. There are two main projects:➜ KILL THE RABBIT MONSTER. ➜ COLLECT AND CONTAIN YOUR FELLOW CIRCLE MEMBERS. These are not the only responses the Circle may have, nor does the Circle have to decide on one or the other. A certain amount of Circle Members will need to sign up for projects in order for thresholds to be met and for changes to take place. You can participate in both.
Each project is detailed below. We suggest that all Circle Members who aren't dead sign up with the projects they plan to support. The conclusion of the event will depend on how many sign up, and what happens will be detailed in a wrap-up log that will be posted on March 18th at 9:00 PM EST. You are nearing the end of your stay on the Horologium. Is it all you ever wanted?
PROJECT: KILL THE MONSTER. With the help of the exploration teams who survived their interactions with the monster, and the Bridge teams who deciphered important messages with clues on how to combat the monster, you are left with a choice: Do you return to the belly of the ship with this new information? Do you fight the monster once and for all? Can you, sanely, go back into the darkness now knowing what waits for you? Even with a more informed plan in place?
➜ TO KILL THE MONSTER sign up here to join the project. They are going back into the belly of the ship and see if you can rid the universe of this nightmare beast! Depending on how many Circle Members sign up, this may or may not succeed. It is up to you, the Circle, to decide.
PROJECT: COLLECT AND CONTAIN THE CIRCLE. You have more problems than just the creature. The bodies of your fellow Circle Members need to be retrieved and brought back up to your level of the ship. Unless you plan on leaving them down in the ship as monster food. There are Circle Members suffering from wounds who never went below as well. There are people right in front of you who need help. You can’t just leave them to go monster hunting, can you? Are there enough of you left to split up again? What are you going to do with supplies running low?

PROJECT: ALTERNATIVE OPTIONS. ➜ TO PROPOSE ANOTHER PROJECT comment here if you have a different idea! Please make your decisions and comment by March 17th at 11:59 PM EST. It will decide the wrap-up log and the outcome for the Horologium!
➜ Any character who DIED will not be taking part in this wrap-up log, and therefore are not able to sign up.
mod note. ➜ The Test Drive Meme for the April application round is being pushed back until March 24th. We want you to be able to obtain some level of wrap-up in the Horologium before we launch you back into the Temple. Therefore, the Circle members will be on the Horologium until March 24th, which is the end of World #4 and the beginning of the TDM.
➜ Because of this, characters will return to the Temple 3 days later than normal. If characters have been through a few jumps and would notice this, they can.
➜ The Game HMD will also be posted on March 24th, to give current players the opportunity to give feedback on the world and the game writ-large!
➜ EMP/ATP will go up as scheduled on March 18th.
➜ Reserves will open as planned March 24th at 9:00 PM EST, as will applications April 1st at 9:00 PM EST.

PROJECT #1: KILL THE MONSTER.
The monster itself will not be NPC'd by the modteam. Your team may NPC the monster (and, subsequently, kill it) however you wish. All of the powers of the monster (psychological manipulation, speed, and the like) will still be in play.
However, characters on the Bridge discovered certain things . . . whispers in the dark that could lead to some important clues to victory.

He might be able to help set a trap with his illusions. Also he is pretty sure this thing is moving through the shadows the same way his best friend back home does, so he has a few ideas about cutting off its escape.

Monster killing - plotting
Information: The bridge crews unlocked messages and data. Who wants to share that with the team pulling together? I want to make sure everyone has an impact on this killing the beast.
Plans: So, who is doing what as we descend to kill the monster? Obviously, we got a lot of flexibility with the attacks laid out for easy npcing and we can break into smaller threads (for all our sanity) but having a general plan on how everyone will get the job done would be ideal!
Especially when that plan could depend on the info unlocked. Putting this up so we can plan and see all this stuff organized. We might not get to thread all of it, but we will at least have a clear timeline/history of the fight.

Quentin's illusions can help people hide and camouflage to ambush and trap the monster. Maybe. Also he will be pretty vocal about the fact that they need to cut off the monster's retreat by taking away its shadows, since that seems to be how it moves. It reminds him of the shadow roads the Caith Sidhe use back home, so he hopes it sort of works the same way. You can't travel through shadows if there aren't any. He can create a light illusion, so he's not sure if that will be enough.
