Given the monster's preference for shadows, how much of an effect would being attacked with constructs of light have on it?

If it's a strong effect, would it try to avoid being within range for Ikaruga as it did when she had her canon powers back, or would the fact that she doesn't actually know her attack range limit with her Astoria granted powers just yet mean that the monster also wouldn't know how much distance to keep?
