INTRODUCTION: i'm a journalist, though nowadays i mostly do web editing! i like video games, knitting, listening to music, getting into canons several years after the fact, sometimes i draw with questionable results, and! i love zelda, final fantasy, pokemon, madoka, earthbound, and sometimes i will play persona 5 and yell at it. i've got a cat named yeah toast and i collect pictures of snakes wearing hats
CR MEME CHARACTER NAME: dave strider CHARACTER CANON: homestuck PERSONALITY: an unbelievably cool kid
no he's actually very squishy, but it's so wrapped up in a coolkid exterior that the only thing left to squish are his squishy baby face cheeks.
dave is very fast and funny talking and texting and certified "unconventional" by astoria the circle mom, but if he clicks with someone then he'll protect them with everything he's got. he's also prone to fighting with people before befriending them
POWER/ABILITY: dave can conjure up inanimate objects by rapping about them! this is limited to three times a day, after which he loses his voice for the rest of the day
things dave has rapped up: - an obscene amount of apple juice - a rapidly growing pile of (dead) laptop batteries - a giant cheeseburger - soon, a deadly ramen monster - a two-foot tall battery operated mecha-lizard that is literally every color, invades only bad guy cities and has a catchphrase: "i'm hungry...hungry for JUSTICE!"
that last one was not his idea
INTERESTED CR: - people to argue with! - people who have rap item requests. i can't guarantee the raps will actually ... be good ... sorry... - people who are interested in weird dead shit like he is - pals in general
what are we doing and will it involve more dad jokes
dave's going to be doing what he can to help his sick friends, or he'll be bellyaching about everyone having roberculosis, so whichever end of that spectrum wash falls on would work!
We are doing whatever we want and we can absolutely have more dad jokes
Wash has an open log if Dave wants to pop in, or we can figure a thing out on the mingle! He's not getting much worse than Head Cold, so he'll definitely be wandering around helping people.

dave is currently learning all the hopefully rhyming details from a resident ramen connoisseur and will be really drowning the temple in soup by week 2 or 3
He'll be sick through week 3! He'll be out and about for sure week 1 and week 3 after the fever, so I'll be up for them running into each other. Were you planning on doing a top-level/log with Dave?

So, I think it's been legit forever since we played in a game together (How long ago was route?) but here we are. I've been reliving Homestuck through the books so Dave and North should probably chat at some point, I think.

tbh i kind of laughed when our local library was tweeting about getting the homestuck books, so i'm glad to hear that librarians across the country are, uh. reliving that...
i would love this though! i'm canon blind to rvb but slamming characters together to see what happens is my favorite
dave will stick a sticker on its ass next time he finds it, because lbr he probably brought it into the world, set it free then promptly lost track of it
